Anyone got ideas on how to "lock" a hood on cars that don't have an inside hood release?
Bike cable lock , or anything else?

Bike cable lock works good. I have also used small locks through the hood pins as well.

My 64 300 had a cable, similar to a choke cable, that slid a rod thru a bracket bolted to the hood.

Similar to the one in this thread, but with just a knob and not a lock.

Thanks for replies.
Was thinking a bike cable might work, but hadn't tried it yet.
Those other set ups look good too, but more complicated - at least at first glance

Chain and a padlock? I lived in St. Louis in a not very nice area during my college years. I drove a 1970 'Cuda then. Yes, they were just daily drivers in those days, 1978-1982. Batteries in the area were being stolen constantly. Mine never was, though hood had been popped a few times. Slowed the thieves enough that they just moved on. Ran the chain through the latch hook and around the support.
