Wedge or Hemi? Fel-Pro shows "steel core laminate" with 0.051" thickness. Part # 1105 Wedge. Part # 1104 Hemi.

That could work but shouldn't there be little extra bore size in gasket to not get overhang in cylinders? And yes @metallicareload there is plenty of 0.051 thick gaskets but 0.039 would be easy and simple to get good quench with zero decked block. When I get Cometic gaskets yes I go .030 over the bore size. I think I have two of these gaskets so if I get a chance I will mic one.

Is there composition type head gaskets for 4.5" bore wedge blocks in 0.040 or 0.039 compressed thickness? Only ones I've found with these specs are MLS gaskets and I would prefer composite type gasket for this low compression engine I'm building. What you want doesn't exist. Your best bet is a Cometic gasket.

And I'm not really racing anything, just street driving my car, occasional test'n'tunes every now and then.. I don't know would it be ok to open new topic to this forum about my upcoming 572 build and ask opinions for compression and cam choices since I think here would be the most knowledge about big inch motors even this isn't real race engine I'm building..?

Hell yes! I'm on board with 572 cubic inch street engines all day long.

This is probably what you will end up going with. (Cometics) I ordered these for my Keith Black 572 and ended up going with .060 thick to give me a little cushion with my B1 heads and nitrous. Saving these for if I build a NA combo. They measure 4.515. If you are going to order some get your order in. My last three sets took 6 months, 2weeks, and 6 weeks for my last set.
