So in my one trailer I use a 20lb scuba tank....Lasts the season, but every couple years, I have to have it hydro tested...not cheap.... What is better? A smaller 120vac compressor with an inverter or a twice as expensive 12v dc system? Looking at this 18A 12vdc system.... https://proshop.summitracing.com/parts/var-20007Or a small Harbor Salvage compressor & Inverter......Thoughts?

Neither of my trailers have one of those generators doors, and I hate digging it out...Four wheeler has to come out to get at it.
I was also looking at the battery operated Dewalt system....Seems kinda neat.

the dewalt is great, we have it at the shop for out side use, you can set it at any pound fills and shuts off

Stuck with Dewalt if I go cordless, but I like the looks of the Milwaukie a lot. How long does the battery last? And which size battery are you using?

We have a Milwaukee 18v stuff as thast what we use. Prefer their cordless tools over Dwalts stuff just seem to hold up better. This in in professional everyday use from my shop and my sons. The compressor battery holds up very well. We have had one for awhile that gets used a fair amount.
I have way to many air sources at the track for sure. My trailers both have compressors as well, smaller trailer has a nailer type compressor made by Senco that is actually pretty bada$$. My bigger trailer has a 25 gallon upright. The issue with electric compressors is the start up amps used to get them going. Then I have the cordless "gun styler" inflator along with the on boards.
