Flex reacts faster...additionally I 'd use a 3.8 lever...but that may be trans brake logic,

I personally would use the solid band (red lining), and a 3.8 lever if you can get one. However, I successfully used a 5.0 lever for years, without issues. Good luck with it!

Most of the stuff I fool with are 904s. They get a wide flex band and a 4.2.

I have 5.0s. I keep them in the box with my pinion snubbers and purple shaft cams.

If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

We always ran a solid red lined band and a 4.2 lever. If you have a 3.8 lever and a red lined band in stock i would use that combo and not worry about it at all. It will work fine
