The vin is rusted and it appears the paint code is a PW8. It is a off white for 1987. I ordered a PW8 paint and it looks more gray then white so I ordered the wrong paint code or year.

Anyone that can advise me to find the right color? Ready to put the engine back in but need to paint the firewall.

Paint code should also be listed at the bottom of the VIN tag on the door or pillar.
Maybe the paint store mixed the wrong color or the wrong year for it ?
Chrysler whites are all over the place as far as actual shades of white.
Have the paint jobber show you the variances, maybe that's the problem.
I remember that 10 years ago, there were a lot of variances of PR4 red.

I think it's FW9(Olympic White), Look at link it's the last one click on the "X".
