Winters-Turbo action forever, I’ve dealt with the others and glad to get back to the TA. Never had one shift by itself (put more kink in the cable) other than my electric assist, if it’s too loose you need new bushings. In fact I turn it around now and push forward.

If you need something to accessorize your pinion snubber and purple shaft cam I’ll say TA shifter is the one for you! LOL it also goes well with my Cal Tracs and big roller cam that wasn't selected by color. Probably shouldn't bring up the W2s though. you know my “love” for that shifter. Relying on the spring/ball detent on the valve body to hold shifter position is dumb! …..and we won’t even touch on that infamous “2-3 slide”. You know you’ve done it! I actually never have, I pull it straight back so its impossible to go all the way to third until you let go of the handle and it moves over. I am caveman enough to operate it flawlessly . The shifter has 10-15,000 miles on it so I have had some practice.

Would have thought a 4 speed shifter would be lowest on your scale. Lol! This is the “race” section…. We discuss grain truck transmissions in the truck/Jeep/4x4 forum LMOA! Now that's funny.

If you need something to accessorize your pinion snubber and purple shaft cam I’ll say TA shifter is the one for you! Bingo. It's the size of a suitcase. Heavy. Clunky. I have a guy who has one that must be worn out. Get the thing working with the air shifter and last 3 races it goes 1st to 3rd first round. I like the B&M version of the Quarter Stick. Comes with better hardware, at least it did. PPP is the way to go if you have the budget, I can always tell if someone has a TA/Winters when the pull up. When they go to park it goes clunk-clunk-clunk-clunk.
If the results don't match the theory, change the theory.

Must be a terrible feeling when the guy with the TA shifter, pinion snubber and purple shaft cam puts you on the trailer Love my TA shifter. Was in the car when I bought it, had planned to swap it out, but it’s grown on me. I have the command center, very handy, run my fuel pump, electric fan and Water pump off just one side of it. Nice and tidy.

I literally just installed a Winter/TurboAction shifter in our 69 big block Dart GTS. It replace some vague POS ratchet shifter that was in the car, you could never tell visually what gear the car was in. The reverse pattern TA shifter shows what gear it's in and the way it's gated (L&R) you know when it's in 1st, 2nd or 3rd. It's the kit from A&A transmissions that uses the rear trans attachment so it goes nowhere near headers. It may be old school, but I kinda like that.
Kayse can't keep up at all now. lol

Hahaha who cares what Cab thinks! That’s a baddass shifter LOL! I'm not proud of this and its a very long story but here she is in stinky pinky..Along with a GV, AC and runs 9's on pump swill. One of these days we will give her some love, she is in hibernation right now, as usual.

Those TA shifters made Paul a millionaire because they work. I’ve never seen one in the trash but have seen a lot of the others on shelves gathering dust.

I'm about to throw one in the trash here. Tired of fooling with it. I'll take a picture.
