well after struggling for the last 5 years, tomorrow if the sun shines and the race track doesn't cancel due to 14 inches of rain in the last 3 days, yours truly is hoping to make some passes.I got the bucket of bolts all loaded in the trailer tonight and everything is loaded so all I gotta do is jump in the truck and go. Its about 1 1/2 hour drive so there is that thrown into the equation. I wanted to thank Al Aquire for all the help with getting my car going again. He use to live about a half hour from me and words can't express the graditude I have for amount of work and all the late night phone calls for assistance. Birdtracker

Well the day went pretty spectacular. Weather held out, truck and trailer did their job. Car worked fine. One thing I noticed was that my race suit and gloves shrunk hanging in my closet. I will have to look into that!!! Car went 140 mph in the quarter mile. Later after reflecting maybe I can post so videos and pictures. Birdtracker

well sit back and prepare yourself to not be amazed. I know there is some really nice high end builds here to include DVW's car and also Al's is borderline spectacular. My bucket of bolts is far at the other end of the scale. Its a 2 car garage built back half car. It has all the factory front rails, control arms, brakes, and torsion bars. I was going to paint it with the help of my high school friend but after getting the scoop done he was diagnosed with cancer and I haven't been able to get past that so I am leaving it that way for now. Nothing the matter with a clean car with a nice stance. Looks good to me.

Gary : I will do that. I want to make 2 small changes. Jet change, and the rear shocks are leaking. I am gonna guess from sitting. Bad thing is I have a lot of stuff to do around the house. As soon as I can sneak away I will meet you. Birdtracker

Congrats on finally getting back to the track. I'm sure it felt great to get some seat-time. Nice timeslips!! I hate when the jacket and pants shrink while hanging in the closet wink Car looks good to me ... don't judge the book by the cover - right?
