This week NHRA is running in Concord, North Carolina. About 1.5 hrs from my house.
They wouldn't let me test my 1993 Daytona during their qualifying sessions, but here is a treat. LOL

On Friday, John Force, the 16-time Funny Car world champ, went a blistering 3.850-seconds at 334.24 mph in his PEAK/BlueDEF Platinum Chevrolet Camaro SS, eclipsing the track record of 3.851 set by his daughter, Courtney, five years ago, while the speed was the fastest ever in both nitro categories. .

Some results of full qualifying. Fast air this weekend.

Justin Ashley 3.669-seconds at 331.77 mph on Friday in his dragster. Ashley secured his first No. 1 position in his young career. Leah Pruett qualified second with a 3.686 at 327.51

In Funny Car, Force’s track-record run of 3.850 at 334.24 from Friday secured his first top qualifier of the year.
