looks a little towards the front This , you are looking in the wrong spot , the number is under the weatherstrip itself , you should be able to feel where the number was stamped from the underside.
running up my post count some more .

My story on Calvin Smith's A12 Super Bee "can't be true unless you (me) have photos" well ........with the judges standing next to Calvin's friend Vic What caused something like this to happen? I couldn't even imagine telling someone whose car I was judging that they had to pull up the weatherstripping AND scrape off the paint to check a number ? Obviously you have never shown a car at this level of judging. The pic looks like O.E. Judging from many years ago. If you are trying to score within 90% of a 2000 point judging sheet to get a gold you are willing to scrape a little paint that is hidden under the weather stripping. Not sure who was Judging this car and would have made such a stupid mistake to say the number was on the passenger side. But in the end the correct placement was identified. What did your friends A12 score? Gold (90)%, Silver (80%), or Bronze (70%) ?
