Turbo-action J converter part # is 17509-J. That being said I think B&M are the originators of it so it could be theirs. They were built off a Morris-Minor core and many companies used them for various applications till the supply ran out. The torque converter can make or break a combination. If it can't be modified to what you need sell it and get what the converter company recommends.

I was told that the original B&M 069J Mopar race converters were built from English Ford Cortina cores, not sure about the T/A 069J converters confused
I was lucky enough to get an original stock unmodified B&M 069J converter , it was great up boogie
Until I broke it beyond repair realcrazy puke whiney

At some point in time they used Opal converters.

If they ever build a Museum for converters the O69J would be the main attraction.

I spoke to a guy much closer than I to converter development back in the day and he said Falcon, Cortina and Opal converters were used in various applications.

Can’t recall in what order they were used between the Cortina and Opal. The Falcon was believed to be used in the old 6877F
Which I believe was the predecessor to the Cortina and Opal. I think a tad larger than the other two.
