Cool car great story. Nice to see that some original cars still exist. Love the history as well. Thanks for sharing.

I would love to have that sitting beside my two 65 Sport Fury’s. What a great story and rare car.

Cool Story.

I love the picture with the box of spare parts in the trunk which includes an alternator. I think every mopar I ever bought had a box of spare parts in the trunk and most included at least 1 alternator. lol

Yeah, back in the old days when I drove a "classic" Mopar I carried a parts box with me that included a spare ignition box, ballast resistor, voltage regulator, ignition pickup, coil, etc. Saved my bacon a couple of times.

In the early days I carries an extra resistor in the glove box. In later days, I also carried an extra ignition box and the tools to change it.
I never had to use any of those things on my stuff, but there were times I installed my extra parts to help someone else get home.

I’ve always carried an extra ballast resistor, set of alternator brushes, tools and a long plug wire just in case one died from a set of headers or something, plus an extra coil. Always carry a small amount of wire and some connectors just in case.
