I have dyno tested those two intakes and a Torker 2 on CA pump swill years ago with the same Holley List 80496 950 HP with no changes to the carb or tune up. The RPM was better on HP and torque below 5500 RPM at WOT: up: The Torker 2 was the worst: down: Most of the single plane intakes I've owned and driven on the street are pretty lazy to light throttle response below 2500 RPM The dual planes are way better below 2500 RPM at light part throttle driving on the street

The fuel injection system will like the single plane better.

How important is throttle response? How tight is the converter? And what is the rear ratio? The dual plane will just plain respond and drive better in normal street driving with a tight street converter. It will probably give up some ponies up top. If the converter is looser than stock, or with lower rear gears, the extra RPM will dilute the advantages of the DP.

The fuel injection system will like the single plane better. I've run an rpm perf on a efi turbocharged big block for a decade and had very good distribution and response. A friend of mine tried 4 different intakes, single and dual planes, and the DP's were the best. Not sure why this continues to be spread.

I run an M1 on my 440 with a Dominator carb Steert driver.Even cold it fires up but with no choke you have to keep the idle up.I did run the Holley street dominator Its the best all around intake ever for BBs.Rocky

Not sure on the converter specks as I got the transmission for the engine, but the trans was built for this engine and a 6apk intake. I would run either a 3:23 since the car is not a drag racer and stoplight duels are minimal because the police in my areas more abundant than taxes. Probably fun cruise nights, maybe once a year to track party. Still, thinking MI could be used for FI or maybe that new intake from Trickflow.

What type of fuel injection are you thinking of swapping to, port injection or a throttle body type ?

To many variables to pick which will work the best, each one will require a different set up

Big block Mopar intakes are probably the easiest intakes there are to change. So when injection time comes, swapping them would be a snap. Having said that, with 3.23s and primarily street duty, for now I would run the dual plane.

Throttle body. Sounds like the RPM is going to be perfered intake and if I decide to change to a single plane, then I’ll choose one from piles avalible instead of the cheapest manifold on Craigslist. Thank you all for responding, I appreciate the feedback. Throttle body is like using a carb so the RPM would be my choice on a street car.

On your deal I would run the RPM for the carb and switch to the MI when you change over to fuel injection. All the EFI motors I've built including direct port EFI as well as throttle body EFI installation instruction said to use a single plane intake, SB, BB and Hemiroid motors with two dry throttle bodies Good luck on your new venture
