I know there are a few guys here with Ritter block know how.
I have a new assembled short block. I hit a snag concerning the exposed
water jacket/deck surface at cylinders 1,7,2,8.
The cometic gasket does not cover enough of the opening to seal.
Can anyone give me advice?

thanks,Mike

The outside size and shape is the same as a Fel-Pro 1008
block bore is 4.170
gasket is 4.200
