The needle is not holding the fuel level properly if it allows the fuel bowl to overfill and flood out the vent tube BTW, is this motor using a mechanical fuel pump? If so maybe the pump has to much pressure when it is above a certian RPM If it is a electric pump only it might be the same thing, to much pressure for the needle and seat to hold

to a bg 4 port fuel pressure gauge with a guage which is set at 8.5 then i have a gauge at the front 1050 which reads 7 psi....the rear carb on primary side is the one dumping fuel....should i back down the pressure at the carb reading to 6.5??....just replaced all new needle and seats and power valves...thanks

If it is only one needle leaking get rid of it, try using the .110 or bigger needle and seat on all of the fuel bowls, if you don't have them already

I hope that is a return type regulator. if not there's your problem.

no the return is at the pump and also have a aeromotive fuel pump controller which regulates from rpms and can switch to direct pump for the track

the mallory 250 was designed to use a return system. although I think I remember somebody by-passing at the pump. dead heading it could cause a problem imo.

the pump is in the truck and the by-pass goes directly to the fuel cell

I know what your saying but thats not the best method imo. call mallory and see what they tell you.

this has been working since 1998......i am still having problems....change out power valves which pro-system install when they built the 1050s... i put in new 120 needle and seats....i had gas dumping out the bowl vents....like i said new power valves and went back to the old needle and seats[cleaned them off with cab cleaner and blew them off]...so i set floats low and took it for a ride....ran great for a while cruising at 60mphs...went through town at 30mphs and hit the 55mile an hour zone on jumped into it....it stumpled like it was loaded up....went back to the house and raised float level to just below the sight hole....did the same thing and even died when i pulled out of a store after shutting it down for 10 minutes .....seems like it flooded out....floored it and it started up...checked float level again and its just below sight hole.....anybody have any suggestions??? timing set at 34 total timing and temp is around 200-210...usually ran around 180 with anti-freeze...water wetter/water now....also i am running 6 psi at the carbs

Maybe the fuels boiling in the bowls , seems like the only thing that's changed is temp.

What a coincidence! I am experiencing the same thing. My Dom has been fine for years and now, all of a sudden, it overflows out the vent after reving hard. I have changed the press reg setting, changed the float, changed the needle and seat and adjusted the float setting several different ways. The overflow is hit and miss, not all the time. I don't understand why this has started now and why I can't get a handle on it. If you find out what is going on, make sure to post it on here.

Master, again and still

I don't think you can control pressure with that pump by-passing it at the pump. pm robbmc (board member) and talk to him about it and your problem.

the 120 needle and seats are viton...acc pumps seem to be dumping out fuel fine and by the way i am running 93 pump gas if that matters
