I'm debating on to do some experimenting with NOS on my E85 burning S/P car this year if it doesn't sell soon. I have never used NOS but I have bought kits and parts for kits over the years, now is probably the best time to start learning about it Is there a formula for the jet sizes on both the NOS and fuel jets to make a set amount of HP gain? How about using it with E85? Any things to not do with E85? My current 505 C.I. E 85 bracket motor is right at 15.to to 1 compression ratio, is that too high? I've got several new BB race blocks, B1 heads and several different BB stroker cranks available to build a bigger newer NOS motor. I'm not sure if I should do that or work on the motor that is in the car The motor in the car now has run a best of 8.882 at 150.+? MPH in the 1/4 mile. 5.50 at 125.+ MPH in the 1/8 mile weighing 2850 Lbs. with me in it at 3300 Ft D.A. I'm thinking of using two NOS systems I have already, the smaller solenoids one to make 150 HP and the larger one to make between 300 and 450 HP. I'll need a good NOS controller so I can make the car move before engaging the 150 HP kit and then a little later activate the larger kit. I know there is a lot to learn on NOS use so I really appreciate all and any help you can offer me, THANKS in advance

Cab , I can’t tell you about E85 never used it . 15:1 is not a problem Your biggest issue will be using B1 heads . They are not nitrous friendly . That means you need more retard than usual . Also if using more than 3-400 you should consider a nitrous type cam . Something that will open the exh earlier to help get rid of the heat . Next is consider a nitrous type converter because you will most likely blow through the “motor” converter you have now . Also you will need less rear gear . Finally you are better off to use a good nitrous controller with one big 600hp kit than dual stage like you want . Lots to consider …… I always tell people, get in touch with induction solutions. Sounds like a Holey Moley plate is exactly what you need . You will get great tech support

A friend of mine runs a 632 BBC in an outlaw drag radial Mustang, it is a no time car currently but runs sub 4.50's in the 8th. He goes through 5-6 pounds of nitrous depending on the pass and the tuneup. I think the general rule is 0.8 lbs/100 hp, but a ton of factors can play into that.

Mine seems to use around 2 lbs for one 1/8 mile pass at the 300 hp jetting. I make 2 hits then put in a fresh bottle.

I'm planning on using two 15 lbs. bottles, one to feed a 150HP shot system for around 4 seconds and the other for the bigger 300 to 400 HP kit for 2 to 4 seconds depending on how much I need to compete and win: luck: I don't know how long it will take to use enough NOS out of the large kit bottle to replace it I'll probably take the scale to the races and measure them to find out I have a lot to learn you only need one 15lb bottle for all that. And use a -8 line to feed it all. As i already mentioned consider one big kit and a good controller over two kits. Most important thing also ..... get the chambers softened and dont be afraid of single digit timing ( 9* or less)
