Hi!
I'm locking out the VVT cam sprocket using comp cams 5760 liock up kit. Screwed it up, and the springs got loose.
The question is, what do I need the springs for since the timing will be locked up? I can't see any reason I couldn't run without them.

Mine has been locked out with the springs removed since 2016. It's fine.
