Wife has a new ride. We have always wanted one but never got one for various reasons. This one showed up at a dealer down in Lima, OH

Had a local dealer pull a carfax for me and it was legit. No rust, 47,000 original miles, 4.7 V8, runs like a top and drives like new! A few dings and scratches but it looks much better than other vehicles a 1/4 its age. The underside of the truck is super clean as well.

Ok ok I'm bragging to much sorry but we are very excited we found and purchased this truck!

Congrats! We have an 04 Dakota Quad cab. 2WD with a 4.7/545RFE. Good running and great driving little truck whose main job is to keep my wife from beating up my 04 Quad cab diesel...lol. Best advice I can give you on the new to you Dakota is to never let it overheat, and keep the oil changed at frequent intervals. I use a synthetic blend in ours, and change it every 3500 miles. Best of luck with your nice little truck. up

that's a super clean Dakota thumbs . We have one as well - modified for serious off-roading and we love it.

We also have a 2002 Durango SLT Plus with the 4.7/545RFE. We bought that used in 2003 and its still going strong with 151,000 on the clock. I over maintain all my vehicles so I don't expect anything unusual with the Dakota that I haven't seen already with the Durango.

Nice truck. up
I had a '00 2wd for a brief time. V6- 5 spd. truck I bought with no engine and put in a 5.9. Ran like a bat outta Hades but I got tired of rowing gears in a DD.

Nice, the last of the good looking midsize trucks. Always nice to see one that someone preserved from winter use.

Any plans to rust proof it for the future or will it continue to be a summer driver?
