Back in October I became aware that Holley sold "factory refurbished" carburetors. If the one you want isn't in stock they'll notify you when it is.
I filled out the info about a couple of carburetors I was interested in and really wasn't expecting to hear from them. A couple of weeks went by and I got an e-mail saying one of the carbs was in stock, so I ordered it.
Received the carb in a few day, and it was beautiful! I got busy with other stuff and didn't look at the carb for a couple of months. Two weeks ago I removed the bowls to verify what jets were installed.
Well I couldn't unscrew the jets! I tried a jet removal tool that I had just purchased, It didn't work and a wide screw-driver that always works didn't work either. Both slipped out of the jet, and bent the jet tool.
I was relieved I hadn't installed the carb yet. and notified Holley of my problem. They responded immediately and offered to check the carb over for me. I returned the carb at Holleys expense and got it back a week later.
The jets come out now, and they even replaced my broken jet tool! Happy to find a place that stands behind their product!

IMO it was probably the jet tool in the first place, only time I've damaged jets was with that tool... always just use a proper flathead screwdriver now and never have issues.
