Yeah i know its not a mopar but atleast its not a chevy!lol! My wife and I watched Dave Kindig redue/restore a already beautiful Pantera in lime green. My wife and I do like panteras and cobras, but are Mopar people, anyway man what a great looking car !We were worried he was gonna screw up the pantera like he kinda did the coronet.the pantera looks freeken sharp! I'd like to see that car in person. Stretching it four inches like they did ended up looking pretty good. I wonder what they did about the front foot wells for the driver and passenger. Those were pretty tight on the original Panteras. For the drivers, the clutch and brakes pedals were moved to the right and close together. It was too easy to hit the clutch pedal when going for the brakes. At least they put a Coyote and not an LS in it.

I really like a lot of their stuff, but sometimes they look odd, like a white Mustang they did years ago. On the Pantera, the stretch kind of messed up the rear wheel/rear deck relationship, though they didn't have much choice but to stretch the car for the customer. The wheel-opening flares to my eye would have looked better with a sharper cross-section, vs the rounded styling they used. I would have liked something more interesting for a tail lamp treatment, but the nose was nicely proportioned. Styling the valve covers like a Cammer was pretty cool, and I also really like the wheel design; simpler & bolder than the originals. No doubt they have huge fabrication talent, though I wonder why they seem to change painters every year or so.

Just my What kills the Coronet for me are the stupid large wheels and air dam front. I don't know how much the 'owner' influenced this but if they had gone more subtle like their previous GTO, I think it would have made a huge (pardon the pun) difference. The air dam strikes me as if they ran out of time and/or ideas. The tires just because they could. I'm thinking like an 'updated' R/T would have been cool. As for the Pantera, I'll have to watch the episode again. I really liked it, and agree with the OP it's MUCH better than the Coronet. And what's with the LS talk? If anything, Kindigit is one of the few shops that DOESN'T LS swap everything.

Is this car in a new episode? Haven't been watching the MT channel for awhile as it got to where I was just seeing re-runs mostly.
351c can be made to provide a ton of power (one of the highest output per cubic inch potential of any oldschool V8 ever created). I think I would have just stayed with a Cleveland vs an engine swap myself. I understand these made for TV car shops don't have hardcore engine builders on staff with the tools and knowledge to do that stuff so that is why crate engines are their go to. 351 Cleveland was an underrated overlooked high RPM screamer. With those 4bbl closed chamber big port big valve heads I don't understand the disdain and disregard for the Cleveland.
Keep old mopars alive.

I don't think anything bad about the 351 Cleveland it still would've worked out great in the Pantera.
