At one point in time, one of the major oil pan manufacturers- Milodon, Mopar Performance, somebody- made a 6 qt oil pan for the 360(5.9 magnum) for transplant into 65-72 B-body and 70-74 E-bodies.

As the 5.7/6.1 progressed the aftermarket became heliocentric around these engines.

So far as I remember the 360 magnum used a different rear main seal from the rope type of the 318-340, which meant the 360 Magnum also used a different oil pan to accomodate them.

I found a legitimately low mileage 5.9 Magnum in a bank repossession which has sat and occasionally been started for a number of years, it is a Durango 5.9 and for what I want it for it will do fine. I have had the heads planed and the intake cut to match, I'm right at 9.5:1 compression with a set of forged Diamond pistons, have a melling hv oil pump I have deburred and polished.

My problem has been finding an oil pan for the 5.9 magnum to Ebody. I know it eliminates some ground clearance but with the modifications I'd like more than the stock 4qts of oil.

Is anyone aware of a current production 5qt or 6qt oil pan for the 5.9 Magnum being put into a stock E-body ? Anyone know of a part number or otherwise ?

Thanks.

5.2, 5.9 magnum and the 360 LA can use the same pan. 318 and 340 use the same pan, but one different than the others.

That ought to open your options.

I used a milodon 30941 on an e-body, it clears the tti headers. Any 360 oil pan will work you just have to use the early pre magnum gaskets. If you are using headers mock everything up as I had to grind one of the mid motor mount bosses down for the header to sit flat, easier out of the car. Kevco also made one that was low profile 6 qt, but I have never used one.

Kevco makes one, or at least used to

Back when dinosaurs roamed the earth, in the halcyon days of the 360/380 and 402/435 Mopar Performance crate engines
which were based on a production 5.9 Magnum block, standard 360 passenger car pans were used on both. The 402 had
a Moroso deep pan and the 380 had a regular replacement 360 pan.

The pan on the 380 was sort of similar to this one.

I'm sure I could probably find the old MP number but the entire older product line appears to be gone so that search would be pointless.

No one I am aware of makes aftermarket magnum specific oil pans (meaning front of pan rounded all the way up to block for the magnum one piece pan gasket). A regular LA 360 bolt up using the LA pan gaskets. The rear main seal material is irrelevant. Kevko M302 is "supposed to fit" stock K frames although I have seen a few people cut small notches in the K frame lip.
