Anybody using an aluminum lakewood bellhousing part number lk-6000? i really want the one from american powertain but they are being held hostage, im not building a drag car so i dont care that its not sfi approved, cant find many reviews on one other than the hole for the ballstud is to small, not concerned with that since im running a hydraulic clutch. more concerned about trans fit and starter fitting issues.

I haven't mocked one up in a car, but yes the ballstud threaded holes are 1/2 threads, supposed to be 9/16-12. And the fork pivots are all screwed up and don't locate the fork on the clutch bearing properly.

With hydraulic you should be ok? I talked to APT last week..only a couple weeks out on the bells. I dropped 100 10.5" castings at machine shop last Wednesday.

Lakewood has always screwed up their bellhousing designs. It is what they do for a living and they still can't get it right. They have been making stuff wrong for 50 years!

Hi folks, new to the forum because of searching for some answers about the Lakewood LK6000 bellhousing and the search came up with this forum and topic. I am trying to mate a 440 to a NV4500 and have made several attempts to get Holley/Lakewood to give me some measurements on their bellhousings. They now indicate their 15335 will not work with an NV4500 where their description at one time and possibly still does, indicate it will. Because I'm just looking to mate up a stock 440 I don't need some special rated bellhousing. I was trying to get some measurements like the transmission bore hole diameter from them on the LK6000 and they refuse to provide me with any dimensions. I saw where somebody made the comment they had ordered one and I was hoping to get some measurements from them. Thanks for your help. The NV4500 is out of a 1992 Dodge Ram with a 360 V8 and the input shaft is 19 spline and 1 inch diameter. It appears the length is pretty typical for a Dodge truck transmission (NP435), roughly 7 and 5/8 length. Although the length of the nose can extend into the 8 inch range. Thanks for any help you can provide.
