Well finally the track has reopened and the rain has stopped .
Had the transbrake trans freshened and converter rebuilt , including going to mechanical sprag .
Weather was fairly average with grains in the 80s highish temp and humidity.
Was hoping track would be good , but was less than i hoped for the morning qualifying .
I run bottom bulb with MT PBR 29.5x10.5 radials .
Set suspension as regular and lowered 2step to 4000 then 3000.
Spun like mad . Up to 3500 and raise shift to 6500 as its hard to catch 1-2 @6000 shift off tbrake ..
Loosened ext and tivhten comp on rear shocks . That helped. They then prepped for chicago shoot out.
That worked . After i got back to 19psi , ran 18 1/2 by mistake first E.
So 11 eigth mile passes .
Result was car is quicker faster with this converter than old one for similar weather
And that is leaving 1000 rpm lower .
That certainly makes me confident for next weekend . I am driving interstate to race in the Summit Racing sportsman series . About 14hrs away .
Who needs a trailer and tow car .
