Hi all ,
having some minor weepage issues with my 440 oil pan , couple bolts loosening etc . Currently have rebuild kit cork/rubber gasket .
Which of the Felpro gaskets would be prefered / better - #1808 fibre core or # 1834 steel core ?
I have both , there is no Superformance supplier here in Australia . I am using a World block . Tried ARP bolts , back to factory which seem to hang on better . I am running a solid driver mount with strut . I have a Milodon oil pan .
I have a race meeting in 2 weeks then a interstate meeting which will involve a 14 hr drive each way .
Thanks

Tex

i like the black fel-pro fiber, doesn't squirm like cork, with permatex ultra grey rtv.

I'm using a set oil pan rail stiffening plates on my Road Race pan with slightly longer bolts and lock washers. No issues since building it in 2017.

Try using some good thread sealer or a good adhesive silicone to help hold the bolts in the block twocents scope
I've switch to using 5/16 studs (AKA allen head set screws) and serrated nuts now on my drag race motors up scope

Cab ,
thought of that but its a real pain with road race pan and stock K frame .
Pan gasket is thin as paper . Also fuly noticed 4 bolts intersect with the cap cross bolts so thread sealer in there

I forgot to mention that I like and use the SCE brand oil pan cork and rubber thick gaskets with a thin layer of Permatex adhesive silicone on both sides to glue them to the windage tray or oil pan and block, your choice up scope
