So I accidentally came across a bunch of part# 349227 - the clutch rod hole plug for 72-77? Dodge trucks. This plugs the clutch rod hole when the truck has an automatic.

I tried finding more info, especially on truck clutch rod boots and I don't see them being sold anywhere. What are people using for 72-93 clutch rod boots. It appears there were different boots over those years. Looks like 72-77? 78-up at least.

In my 79-81 book it shows part number 3732938 for the clutch rod boot. Only place I could find that number is on one of those military surplus websites (they dont have any but they had the number). Said that number superceded 2830873. This hole plug and those part numbers are different than the one that fits all the 66-76 cars - that boot number is 2266783.

That thing looks GREAT!

So what'd you do for a boot? Hate to ask but can you give me the dimensions of the hole? I have a hole and boot that I had cut out of a truck by an online junkyard (Murf at under1981.com - GREAT guy). I THINK it may have been from a late 70's truck. The boot is old but still in great shape. It'd clean up nice. I'd like to see it in that truck if you need it and if it fits - no charge.

Strange that there was a 78 to 81 book and a 78 to 80 book.

Facts are stubborn things.

Do you have a firewall grommet kit for a 1970 Sweptline truck?

(manual transmission with heater)

How about the gas tank filler tube grommet?

Shoot me a list of the body plugs and grommets on your truck and I'll hook you up. Shoot me a message or better yet email. Email allows me to have a searchable record to refer to.

I do have the parking brake cable grommet. I have the firewall drain flaps. I have any of the small grommets if you let me know the size and qty. I'd be interested in the clutch rod hole size. Would also be interested in the body plug size and qty. Yep, have the cab to filler neck grommet.
