Can someone clarify how the jack mounting plate is installed in the trunk of my 71 Barracuda convertible. I have a full size spare. The truck lid placard shows it mounting differently than the hardtop. It looks like it may go on the mounting stud under the spare tire but seems it would rattle since it is not held down.
Thanks

Thanks, but I have the full size spare which mounts differently than the space saver.

it still mounts on top of the spare tire ,but has a different jak hook , the correct jak hook has no hole on the side to mount over the spare tire stud. the jak hook is placed under the spare tire and on the trunk mat (sandwhiched between the tire and trunk floor) full tire jak hooks are difficult to locate.

I did some more digging and found this diagram, it looks like for cars with space savers it calls out Challenger to have the hook on top of the tire, and Barracuda to have the hook sandwiched underneath. Then for cars with standard spares they all apparently go on top of the tire, if I'm reading it right? And three different spare tire studs.
