I tuned into Street Outlaws tonight, 11-15-21.
And Jerry Bird is wearing a Buck Racing T-shirt.

Charlie Buck's shop is the one I used to machine my stuff for my new 572 CID B1 engine.
Charlie builds high dollar motors, and he just machined my parts; but I am impressed.

My T-shirt, LOL cool

On Drag Week in 2014 I ran into Dominator at a gas station near OKC after I forgot to plug my alternator back in after an MSD melt down. Nice guy even though he put a big block chevy in a Dart.

Buck has been doing the Byrd's engines for a long time. Buck is big time...lots of big inch nitrous mountain motors.

Dominator's car was a hemi car before he bought it. The previous owner had a big wheelstand and wrecked the frontend, he bought it rolling and fixed it. He said his intent all along was to put another hemi in it, but the repair cost more than anticipated. So the BB Chevy he already had went in it. Atleast it has somewhat of a hemi in it now.

Bodie is at our track running one of his cars quite often when Sonoma was running the weekend brackets, back in 2019 they had a Street Car Shootout on a Wednesday night that paid $5,500 to win a benefit for the late Kyle Seipel. I was one car off of being paired with Bodie who had brought out his Trackhawk. I am on the left in this pic, George one of my Corvette buddies is on the left and took Bodie out first round, Bodie is a super nice guy we chatted for 20 plus minutes in the lanes.

I entertained Joe Woods and his family here between Boise and Tucson races for him. He is a very humble man with a great family. His wife and daughters are all a pleasure to be around. First time his girls had been to Vegas to see the sights. Even got he and family to the Thunderbird Museum. As well as the usual Dam. As great a guy as he is he sure has some tough luck for sure. While he was here we had to work on the borrowed toter home he had after his old motorhome blew up in Iowa. FWIW his old Dart has been replaced by a very nice new one that has an interesting back story smile

I met the Bird Brothers outside of NO when I picked up my truck from its previous owners. Yes they do the paint and bodywork on his car. Third generation family in the body business and all three generations are named Lester smile I was told about the truck through another one of the NPK guys I know personally.

My son used to work for Eric Kvilhaug and have known him since he was a youngster. He had a cool little street race Vega way back when. Thing won alot of money in its day for sure. Eric is a very smart and very determined guy. I hope his funds hold out. I know a few other of that group and a couple for a very long time.

I don't know how some of those racers fund the NPK schedule, it must cost an absolute fortune. There are a lot of racers that turn up to every race and are lucky to make it in to the invitational. It is has been great watching seeing Eric Kvilhaug surprise everyone.
