Been pulled over a few times. The seatbelts weren't even on their radar!

I'd rather be safe at the track than worry about whether or not a local cop is going to look at my seatbelts! Hell, they don't even care about drag radials with no tread around here. I've pulled up next to them with open headers on a bigblock and they just waved. Not everyone lives where the cops are a$$holes.

Reality check, that half the population is smarter then 50% of the people and it's a constantly contested fact.

Totally agree with this! OK, I guess if your belts sit outside in a top down convertible or Jeep maybe two years is too long.
But these cars mostly sit in garages, and unless you're racing every week don't get that much sun.

I think I've seen a 4 pt set that had the shoulder harness stitched to the lap belt, (each side) may have been DOT approved.
You kind of slip your arms in and buckle the lap belt, pretty cool!

Or there's the option to send in your old belts and have them recertified (thats been on the shelve pass the 2 year dating)and have a new certification tag sewed on .

I have several different brands of harness that are out of date, Simpson won't recertify any of theirs now whiney New sales only down
Crow use to do mine with no problems, now they say they will redo their brand only twice, regardless of the conditions of the steel components.
They use to redo any brand work
I'm not sure about any of the other brands, I would ask them about redoing their brand before ordering from any manufacturer twocents scope

Same around here. I drove around for a few years on slicks and ET Fronts w/ race bullet mufflers on a 14:1 big block burning C12, lol. Don't drive like an idiot and you have no problems.

I have G Force 5 point harnesses in my car. Bought them in 2006.

Southern tracks are outlaw tracks with very few safety checks.

Not all are outlaw. Even the sanctioned ones don't check. There are a ton of tracks down here compared to anywhere else though.
