Rebuilt the motor with a set of pistons , that went 11 teens on motor . Now it’s getting a motor rebuild again . He also put a chrome moly cage . So lots of updates

I forgot to add ...Love that car! Similar to Steff's boy Corey in that they too started with an 8.8 because it was an affordable upgrade. But like your boy, under your influence, it didn't take long to make that part inadequate lol. Exactly. He paid 150.00 for the 8.8 . We cut all the brackets off . Welded on new perches . He bought new brake pads and drilled rotors . For under 300.00 he had a 4.10 Posi rear with disc brakes . Yes he was pushing his luck with stock axles and gears . So it got sold and the money went towards the 9” . He got New wheels , so the 9” is shorter . I had an alum center with 4.10 and spool . 35 spline axles with 5/8 drive studs . Hopefully bullet proof …… for a little while . I have a 9” in my car with big Ford ends . So he ordered his rear with the same ends , now I’m buying TBM brakes for my car , and put my strange brakes on his car . Hmmmm these kids always getting the “nice” hand me downs

After breaking 8 3/4 over and over and over , I went with most people use . I’m not one to debate it but ….. 😂 You know you're going to slow down........right? If I ever build my 65 Dart I'll use a 9" too.
