I got some checks in the mail last year from the whole pandemic and no-one driving thing but they weren't even enough to cover 1/2 a tank of gas.
Every time they mess with insurance and say most people will see a reduction in rates mine always go up realmad

Wall Street Journal and others have had recent articles about how insurance companies claim that Credit Rating score number is the most accurate way to predict future accident claims, but that laws are being introduced in at both State and Federal level to outlaw this practice.

Some claim that Credit Rating number is more predictive than agreeing to plug in those OBD-II/GPS driving behavior monitoring electronic “tattletale” devices.

In any event, spend a few weeks doing things to boost your Credit Rating before seeking a new auto insurance quote.

My car insurance went down this last renewal time, I dropped one vehicle from the insurance and removed the full coverage from one of the three remaining on the policy. I'm not putting one of those liability reduction things in any of my vehicles.

The next thing I'm going to do is unbundle my car insurance from the house insurance. Ever since I bundled those two together, it seems the cost keeps going up. Pretty much anything the insurance company wants me to do to "save" money costs me more. I'm done playing their games.

I don't like our homeowner & auto insurance plan. Every year the premiums go up. Never had a claim of any kind. The agent that sold us the policy originally left the company. After that, the prices have been rising and rising.

Several years ago, we received a letter saying our policy was canceled. (There was no explanation as to why it was canceled.) We went to see them and were told that we had not paid the premium. We had proof we had paid the premium well before the due date. After a bunch of illogical arguing, they finally admitted they had made a mistake. Due to their mistake, they wrote a new policy for us. Oddly enough, the new policy, with the exact same coverage, was almost 1/2 the price they had been charging us. Of course, the premium on the new policy has gone up every year since.
