Top of the cowl suppose to be black on cuda's but has anyone figured out what is correct for the black color itself? Semi gloss level, egg shell level? Certain brand of paint better than others? I did google it but only so far found documents of where and what up to build dates was done but not seen anything for the actual black itself that was used.
thanks

All the blacked out areas (rad supports, etc) seemed to me that it was the same paint, essentially a low-gloss black. I personally prefer a semi-gloss as it lasts longer - well over 30 years so far - and mimics the new appearance from back then. Some flat blacks look almost dark grey, and/or don't age well. It should not have gloss.

What I mean is, "not shiny". There's a definite difference: semi & flat won't reflect images, but gloss will, if that helps explain it. Corey knows what I mean. Well…there certainly is a definite difference!
