Does anyone have knowledge of what these bolts going through the water jackets of this KB Hemi Block do? What is this modification for?

That block does not have water jackets. IE a solid block. NO ideal what those bolts are for. Are the water passages in the front of the block solid or some sort of tape? I cannot tell from the picture. I have seen some that were very thin between the cylinders and this may be a repair of sorts to get the sleeves from moving around????? Look at the block in the front by the cam tunnel. Just to the driver side of the cam tunnel you will find a 4 digit tagged number in the block. That is the serial number and can be used to find out how and when the block was originally ordered.

I have seen that done when the block is cracked between the sleeves in an attempt to hold it together. Also seen sleeved iron blocks like that.
