So I ordered a set of Caltracs with the mono leafs for my 1969 Superbee. What is on the car is a custom made set of leaf springs (cobbled stock and super stock springs made by the previous owner) with a similar homemade caltracs design, but the bar tie into the subframe connectors on the car. My question is the leafs that are on it now have a wedge for pinon angle, should I move that wedge onto the mono leafs? Also do you run a pinon snubber or should I leave it off. This is the first time I've messed around with this desgn of caltracs and a mono leafs, any tips and tricks that you would recommend for a street car? Thanks in advance.

I would see where your pinion angle is after you install everything before putting in the wedge. Install and adjust accordingly. I did 4* down.

No pinion snubber! the pivots on the front of the springs perform the same function albeit better.

We left a nickel gap between the front pivot and put the bar in the lower front hole. The tighter we set compression on the rear shocks, the better it plants the tire. Make sure the front pivots are loose to function correctly. Lots of guys crank them down tight and wonder why they don't work.

Don't forget to make the frontend work. They like lots of separation in both the front and rear.

I would mock it up with no correction shims and see where you end up. Unless the ride height is really low or the perches were welded at a goofy angle you should be close.

Definitely ditch the pinion snubber. With good shocks it should never touch the floor anyway.

Check the angle without the wedge. Ask Travis at caltrac what he wants. Did mine last winter but can’t remember. Mine was nose down too much and had to kick it up something like two degrees
