I need help choosing a solid roller cam for my new engine it is a 512 low deck with 10.8 to 1 compression with max wedge victor heads that flow 365 cfm and a indy 3 intake with 1050 dominator. What specs do u think i should have? It is going in a 3300 pound a body with 4.10s and a 29 inch tall tire and i haven't bought a converter yet.

Kind of depends on what rocker arm ratio you're planning to run and some other stuff that you didn't mention.

Assuming you want to go drag racing and you're going to be using gas then I'd think something in the 260/270 duration at 050 would be about right. Maybe something around 0.400 lobe lift.

My 505 motor makes around 800 hp with a 266/272 solid roller that has about .400 lobe lift. I use 1.85 rockers on the intake and 1.70 on the exhaust though. That combination is fairly easy on the valve springs and makes good power but the rocker arms cost a bunch of money.

Why is the compression so low? Is this a street/strip car that you want to run on pump gas? If so, then you might want to start off with a big street roller cam. Maybe a Comp XR298 would work. I've made pretty good power with that cam and it is mild enough that you could drive it on the street without it being too much of a hassle.

I would just run the .620 lift Mopar Performance solid lifter cam..It makes great power and is easy on parts.

Depending on what your purpose is, ie race only, street/strip, or pure street, the answer depends.

But that is low compression for a serious power combo. Aluminum heads, and large CID can make use of more CR with longer duration.

Those are great flowing heads, nice CID, etc. It could make big power but the CR will limit the cam and therefore the peak output.

this will be a street strip combo running on pump gas. It will have 1.6 ratio rockers

If street/strip then try a Comp street roller. XR292R or XR298R would work. Maybe make about 725 hp or so with those heads and that compression ratio.
