I recently bought a set of original 70 cuda grille trim (the red plastic bars). What would be the correct finish on these? It appears that these were painted argent silver on the top and bottom, black on the front, with the indented portion painted red. I also have a set of repros I bought years ago, those are molded in black plasctic, and only indented portion is painted black. What is correct?

Never seen any painted silver.My guess would be that they were not removed when someone repainted the grille they were originally in and maybe just masked off the front.

Red lines were molded in black - red was paint (roll striped) on.
The repro ones are nearly a dead nuts copy of originals - I've used both with great results.

What’s the paint color or what’s the best option for repainting the red on the red bars?
