Has anyone run this tire before? Just bought a new set wanting to try these radials vs the bias ply I have run in the past. Just curious as to other folks experience with them. What pressure do you run them at? I have heard 19-22 lbs, which is a lot more than the 10.5-11 I am used to. Hoping these will help me pick up a little on ET in 1/8th. My old set were Hoosier 18170, 29x10x15. The new ones look a good bit taller but by the book they are not supposed to be. My old tires were over 11 years old, so it was time for some new ones for sure!

i have a pair of the 30x10.5R15s (29.5"tall) I currently run them @ 18psi on a 8"rim , contact looks good . Footbrake they are great , they were quicker than my MT pro bracket radial last time out . I have used them on 10"rims and with transbreak . Though they were then same as MT PBR . I did make a mistake at that time with too much air pressure , i doubt i would go over 19 again . The MT will probably be better on average or lesser track prep . Also should get more laps from PBR . The Hoosier will wrap more than the MT , more like a crossply , they are lighter and definately softer sidewall . They are a bu99er to fit to 10"rim less so 8" . A mate has run the 29.5x9r15 on his 62 Belair quite successfully , also another uses them on his Aus Torana , Vega size .

In addition to ET, you should also pick up a little in reaction time. The wider the rim you can use, the more pressure you'll be able to run while maintaining a full footprint and less "wrinkle". I had Hoosier 9" radials (18212) on 10" rims and had about 21 lbs of air in them. But many variables come into play - overall weight, weight transfer, shock settings, etc. My car weighed 3,540+ with VG weight distribution, SS springs and footbraking. They also don't grow like bias ply slicks, so at the same static height, you will gain some rpm on the top end. Only down side of radials is that they can be more sensitive to track conditions and will spin sooner if conditions deteriorate.
