Now, I'm an old worn out Hemi cross ram racer, running N/SS, and my son has a 71 Plymouth Satelite he runs brackets with. As an old guy, I like to go over to his place and loaf.
Anyway, now that his kids are old enough that they don't need the constant attention they have, he's getting it back together and is about ready. With a Holly 750, the best it ran was a 12.04, with a 477 inch, low compression bracket motor, .509 hydraulic cam, TCI converter, and 4.56 rear gear. So, now he just switched to a Fitech FI set up. Haven't been to Keystone yet, but intend to get up there with this one within the next couple of weeks.

It sure starts easier, runs cleaner, and in the limited knowledge you can gain by making some hits on the road in front of his house, it really seems to hit hard. Just wondering, have any of you bracket guys played with this deal? I'm kind of looking forward to see how it works out.

They work okay but a Holley Sniper would've been a better choice. The Holley Sniper has a built in data logger so you can replay the runs and watch what the engine was doing. But a FiTech will work okay if it is programmed right.

Thanks, they are both way above this 69 year old. I'm still stuck with Holley 770s on a crossram. Kevin knows what he is doing with this, but it loses me. I'm interested in seeing what goes on. I guess the Sniper is a lot more $$$, too, and a lot more updated technology.

I also am an old NSS racer. I have a pair of AFB's on a maxwedge. And I love carbs.
I have a Fitech on my street car a supercharged 410 in a 69 cuda. I have messed with the Holley terminator system as well. My background is an automotive technician, so I understand how stock EFI works. I read that some people say the Holley is better. Not so sure about that. both the Holley and the Fitech systems have self learn, and ways to watch the parameters of the system. Fitech has something Holley does not, the ability to set fault codes like a typical OEM system. If something messes up, this old mechanic wants fault codes to guide him through the problems.

iagree scope
The Sniper kits work well and are easy to install up twocents
On the Max wedge car I would install two of them and used the O2 sensors to feed one carb each in the other side exhaust pipe to feed the ECU for that side with no H or X pipe up twocents

Cab, on the max wedge intake, why couldn't you use an x or h pipe after the O2 sensors ?
