Saw a 'fool in a jeep' yesterday. Approaching a roundabout on a secondary street, this fool blew past me and another car and entered the roundabout at 50? I was doing the posted 25 as I approached. He tried to hug the center so he wasn't turning much, but a slightly lifted wrangler on oversize mud tires, does NOT make a G-machine! He just barely clipped the center, which caused the back end to start to slide. I thought for sure I was about to witness a hellacious rollover! Still sliding, justt at the moment the left rear tire came off the road, he smacked the opposite curb with the right rear wheel, but instead of causing the jeep to roll, it instead ricocheted off it, causing it to briefly slide the other direction. Hardly slowed him down. Both the car ahead of me and myself stopped for a moment watching this play out. Afterwards, we just looked at each other and shook our heads.

Good stories. My youngest is still learning to drive. Last weekend we were out and I told him that 90% of the people on the road are pure idiots. I don't think he has the defensive driving mindset yet so therefore he doesn't have his license yet. Always expect stupid.

And the distracted drivers (mostly texting) are out of control. I see them from way back. Come up in their blind spot and almost every time sure enough they are texting and 30 years old or younger.

A couple weeks ago I was on the highway and there were two people going about 25 over the limit zig zagging in and out of traffic with ATVs on a trailer behind them. Then another car going about the same speed kept getting infront of me towing a small U haul trailer. I would barely trust some of those things at normal speeds let alone at that. Some guy lots his U-Haul on this stretch of the I-10 right in front of my uncle. My Uncle totaled his FORD Fairlane hitting it as no place to go. It just came off and hit him. They just kept going and never stopped. Police report and drivers/ renters info from U-Haul netted him nothing. The driver's of the car and owner had expired insurance and signed a paper saying U-Haul bears no responsibility when rented. He hit it halfway up it also bounced and hit another car or 2 after he hit it. {ie} trailer hit cars in all 3 lanes https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2s5_ZoA9IUAYears before some jackass got on eastbound as shown here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpbOxiQP4KE and hit me in the rear conner doing a perfect "Pit Maneuver" and I went right into the divider where the oncoming. traffic is. This was in my 1972 Dodge Challenger H Code. So was 340/727 B5 Ralley so was medium blue, black vinyl top, scooped hood, black interior, fender scoops with black strobe stripes down the doors dealer-installed A/C 8 3/4 rear end 323-1 gears, front and rear sway bars, disk brakes. netted me a totaled car, 2 black eyes, and a broken nose His car had fiberglass everywhere as he had a Vette and he was badly injured. If you look at the beginning 5 seconds to the left there is a Chevy Dealer he said her left from. So idiot gets in the car gets on the entrance and wipes it out ASAP. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tpbOxiQP4KE

My shop is on a main road leading to a huge recreation lake. Friday night you see people who drove their Prius all week with a 3/4 ton diesel pickup pulling a gooseneck travel trailer with a boat trailer hooked to the rear of the travel trailer heading to the lake....on a two lane road driving faster than the 65 mph speed limit. God does watch over little children and fools.

That's why I have a loud horn. I keep hoping to see one of the startled idjits fumble their phone right out the window.

And that video, Talk about some short merge lanes there, blind entering one too with the overpass line that. Once upon a time people used to change lanes or slow down when they saw someone trying to get on but around here it's everyone for themselves now and people keep on going completely ignoring the other car. Nice rolling stop at the end there from whoever filmed that and did they go the wrong way down a one way too?
