I whas hunting for new boosters to a 440 six pack outboard carb and askt Holley for help but they said whe have them but only suply it when sent in for restoration/repair by them self so they refuse to sell them thoe i have the corekt tool to install them ! Have they gone mad or whats up whit a brand like that

Happening a lot these days and why companies are saying screw Holley and making or having parts made for themselves like I'm doing now w/billet 4150 and Dommy banjos....

A lot of those type of carb “hard parts” for Holley carbs have never been available to the general public.
Just try a few different established carb builders, they can usually get those type of parts.
I used to buy boosters from BLP.
68 Satellite, 383 with stock 906’s, 3550lbs, 11.18@123

That corporate explanation might even be true. Although it sounds more like an excuse to me... (and anyone can sue anyone for anything in our wonderful legal system, but don't get me started)  After all, Holley is still selling butterflies and screws, and throttle linkage parts, baseplate and manifold gaskets, etc. which if improperly installed can cause the same problem!  Some humans can screw up a car whit a screwdriver  I know people who can screw up a 50 ton wrecking ball in a sandbox with a feather
