I bought a 440Source six quart “Hemi” pan for my 440. Which Melling pickup tube do I use, the 63S3 or 63S4? I’ve read through several posts and I’m seeing conflicting answers. I believe the S4 is for 402 style pans, and the S3 is for the 73+ B-body pans. My block appears to still be tapped for a 3/8 tube. Thanks

Anybody? I’d like to order one before COB. Thanks
[EDIT] 440Source was no help, they only wanted to sell me their pickup tube (which several posters have complained about). I guess the purchase of the pan, a crank pulley and several other parts in the past wasn't enough $$ for a little free tech advice. Lesson learned.

I like the straight pick-up that I used on my 493 with a street HEMI pan. I got mine from Summit but Mancini has them too Item #: MOPP4529565 Gus

63-S4 is the 3/8 pickup I use now, it has a dogleg bend in it and is real close to the bottom of the of the same pan sold by Summit Melling use to sell another pickup 3/8 inch that was straight with a different part number that was easier to install into stroker motors but I can't remember that part number now, CRS Thanks, Cab - you mentioned the S4 in an old post but I was having a hard time finding any others to back it up. I’m assuming anyone who recommended the S3 was using a different pan or didn’t mind a little modification to the tube (or just confused the part numbers).
