For under $5,000? I currently have a cheap Jet 1/2" blade dry-cut model & it is starting to have problems.

I'm looking at 3/4" & 1" blade Jets & Dakes. The Dakes are claiming to be made in the USA. Anybody with recommendations? Other brands/models?

Thanks.

Great saws, built to last in the USA. Also they are mitering head. Much better to use then a swivel vice style.

I have a Kalamazoo 610 that I bought used 30 years ago. I use it almost daily. If you could find a complete used one they get my vote. And they're a "dry cut" so no messy fluids to worry about !!

Oh, pretty sure you'd find one for around $600.

Everything he said, definately the best saw for the money, easy to use, not over complicated, can use vertical also, they offer a small table for this, it is a turret style head, which makes mitering very easy, and it is also a drycut style which means no mess from coolant, i have an 1800, but at work always used a 1600 which is a perfect size and can handle just about all your needs, buy one and you will thank us later.

Yep - the 1600 has my attention. I also like the 1" blade. How long will the blade last being a dry-cut? (Bi-steel of course). I'll just be cutting exhaust tubing.
