Does anyone know what bell housing mounts to the R5 Nascar Dodge engine. I would like to mount an automatic to this engine, but having trouble finding an auto bell housing or tranny. Thanks in advance. I think one of our members makes and sells everything needed to do this. Wish I could remember what he goes by.

Bondo Bob did make them, and still may...or would certainly steer in the right direction regards the adapter plate

Stay away from the ones (adapter plate) that were sold by the guy who makes the ritter blocks. My, iirc $700 adapter from 15 years ago or so worked only as a rough pattern for a real shop to make one.
I still have it if you need a pattern piece.
Check with Eatmon? im sure he knows who makes the good and bad.

Leon Hudson...think he made stuff too I think apron had one but I don’t think he made and sold them. Whoever it was I think they teamed up with JW or one of the manufacturers to make up kits.

Leon Hudson has Quicktime make them for him. They pair up to a Reid Powerglide or TH400 case. He sells a kit that includes a flexplate, crank adapter etc. He has a group on Facebook "Dodge R5 P7"
