Google search.... Doug Lepak " the steering wheel guy" he does great work, given that your spokes are in great shape you should save some $$$

I would second either one of these suggestions. I have used the later one personally with good results. Matt

Same here.

From what I've seen Doug does excellent work too. But be prepared for a significantly higher price.

Yep, Dave has done half a dozen for me at least, rim blow as well as standard wood grain wheels.

I'm still waiting on mine from Dave. He's had it now for 1 year and 4 months.

I've yet to see one ('68-'69 style) that's EXACTLY like the mint take-off I've had for 40-some years.
Last one I bought was around 2000, and while it was expensive and nice, the graining & spokes weren't exactly like OEM.
It's gotta be almost impossible to duplicate, I guess.
I've kept my OEM wheel wrapped & boxed for one final show car, like it'll help me live forever laugh2

I see them on cars being flipped on eBay all the time.

They have glossy chrome spokes not the original dull brushed nickel look.

He doesn't advertise this as far as I know, but Doug Lepak can convert a non-wood grain wheel to wood grain.

He even made the wood on my non-wood wheel match the console and instrument panel wood grain decal sample I gave him. He also made the rim a bit fatter than original, which I think is better.

To duplicate the appearance of the metal sandwiched in the middle of the wheel rim, he laid in what appears to be a thin strip of metallic Mylar. However he didn't get it in the same plane as the spokes. It is "floating" in another plane above the spokes. If you ask him to do this, be sure to request that the metal be in the right place.

First photo is my original green colored wheel. Second photo is another wheel showing the metal rim is in the same plane as the spokes and attached to the spokes. Last photo shows my converted wheel with the "metal" rim floating above the spokes.

why in the name of (whoever) did they chrome the spokes on the repro's when clearly these were as you say dull satin finish from the factory. With that said anyone out there (correct) this finish to dull satin ? if the spoke finish is the only issue with the repro wheel and the finish (can) be corrected I'd buy one, price being a factor if a new repro wheel with a corrected finish is cheaper than a restored wheel.... go repro, if not get yours restored.

The spokes on the reproduction wheel are polished stainless steel. A quick scotch brite pad and you'll have the satin finish. When I was selling that wheel, I gave the customer the option of shiny or satin finish.
