Same here. Lost first wife to cancer in 1991. Married 27 years. Started dating number two a couple years after number one passed. Test drove her for ten years then married her. Still with number two. I’m a lucky fella to have found and married two great gals. Both are keepers

In 2 weeks, my one and only bride and I will celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary. We have two grown kids that are productive members of society. There have been ups and downs through the years, but I can honestly say I'm a happy man. Together we have done things I could never have done myself. I can't imagine living without her.

There are no ex-wives. 39 years next Saturday.

But, there are some ex-girlfriends from a LONG time ago. No bad feelings about any of them. The only one (and she was only a sorta girlfriend - close friend who was my date to the senior prom) that I have much contact with is a real gem (yes, really). If I need advice from a neural radiologist she's always ready with an answer (yes, I have needed that from time to time for my wife).
