I was wondering if any one has had any experience with any of those manual tire changers.I have approximately 20 to 25 tires that I need to dismount from the wheels and dont really want to spend the $5.00 a tire my local garage wants, for $89.00 I can have one shipped to the house.I am not concerned about using the machine for mounting tires just dismounting.

I bought one of those manual changers. I used it to dismount 2 tires, and it broke. I bought mine from Harbor Freight, not sure where you are getting yours. Look around for cheaper rates. My local tire shop charges $3 for a mount or a dismount. Prices are always negotiable!

Automotive service equipment is the place I was looking at getting it from.

the hard part is breaking the beads loose & a bead breaker is required & a couple of the large flat "spoons" to work the bead over the rim will work though for that many tires it'd be alot of work but if you're like me you have (much)more time than money

I have this Ken-tool T-99-8 bead breaker made in Akron, Ohio. It's got to be at least 40 years old and works every time. Check local auctions, ebay and yard sales. I think there are still a few left out there.

Are steel rims or alloy? I own a tire store and if you came to me and said I have 25 tires I need taken of the rims, nothing remounted and I can leave them for a couple of days if needed, can you give me a price break? If they are regular rims and tires I would do it for $2 a tire, if you have special rims or large size tires that would be different

We have one of those China tire changers also.
It has not broken yet, and dismounting has worked
ok, but it is a POS for mounting tires. The part
that breaks the bead already bent on us and we had
to fix it. Just like 99% of crap from China, it is
a piece of s#!*.

I'm not familiar with the brand you mentioned. Manual tire changing equipment can work ok. It will take you a while to remove that many tires though!

Sometimes the air powered tire machines can be found used. These will cost more, but are easier to use.

I purchase an older manuel tire changer and bubble balancer off of a guy who advertized them in newspaper. I poured a concrete slap with bolts sticking up and bolted it down, I break mine down and mount they carefully. They want like ten bucks to mount one here, not from me. check out craiglist also.

Same here, only I keep mine on a wood skid and move it from home to work when I need it. Ton's of good used one's available here all time.

I have one of those harbor freight jobs but have no complaints yet,I have dismounted and mounted many tires with it even the new alum rims on my truck with little trouble, mounting it on a solid surface is a definate help.
