Sent my engine in this winter for a freshen up...3-months later shop finally took it apart and the heads are no good. The Indy 440-1 heads were previously epoxied inside where they were ported to much. So with that...it will be alot of $$$ to put back together with only the crank and rods as usable for a complete new build in my 50-year old 60 over block.

So, I'm thinking go buy a new engine built with the Callies block. Something around 700-800hp dyno tested/broke in, carb to pan for my 1970 Barracuda door car. I see Indy and Caroline Machine Engines has options.

Who else has crate engines? How much weight does a Callies block add?

Thanks, Chip
