I’m looking at changing the 727 in my D100 over to a 518. Question, can I use the converter Out of my 727 for the 518?

I'm not 100% sure but I believe you can if it's a non lock up converter 518. Or if you happen to have lock up 727 now you can use it in a lock up 518.

Lock up style input shaft on top of picture, non lock up on the bottom.
Another way to tell is the yellow connector on top of the pan rail on the 518 has 2 pins if its a non lock up and 3 for lock up.

Personally though, if I was going to swap in a 518 I'd want a lock up version.
