I am working on something and need to know when the 1967 Barracuda Forumla S 383 first came out, the internet does not know apparently... shruggy

you are the ONE that's supposed to know - the earliest 383 Barracuda I have anything on was "scheduled" 3/21/67

the DART TSB is dated 3/8/67

But the Barracuda was available way before March 1967, I am looking for a real world date as to when one was shipped to a dealership for sale.The earliest Dart I have information on was 3/17/67...

I believe the 383 Formula S was in the new car introduction articles in the magazines. Car and Driver had a road test of a 383 coupe in their April 1967 issue. Lead time was at least a couple of months in those days, plus the mag probably hit the newsstands in early to mid March. Auto Topics mag tests a 273 Formula S in their Feb 1967 issue and they mention the availability of the 383.
