Hello friends
I'm starting to reassemble a 69 charger.
What is the best assembly manual for proper fasteners
And part identification
I don't take her apart ,it's a painted roller ,I'll probably start by getting the doors latching .
I'm going to need a pretty thorough book .

A factory service manual - in book form - is essential.
Should be on Ebay, or look for Irv Bishko Auto Literature.
I would avoid any book by Paul Herd on the topic, his RR/GTX book if full of incorrect info.
All B-bodies of that era are similar in many things, though another original/unmolested Charger would be a great reference.

Here is a book that I pickedup a while back and it looks to be a pretty good book for 2nd gen chargers.

Thanks friend
A project charger book like that was ruined in the trunk of the car when we got it
From the guy that started the second general lee build on the car
The first general was pretty nice according to the owner before me,
It made a few conventions or Rally's whatever they used to do with those cars
and even the inside of the glove boxe is signed by two of the actors in the TV series, badly faded now,,
Then a few years of drag racing and neglect beat her down, we bought it stripped down with new quarter panels on it. From a guy
That needed to selI , A he's moving sale she said, poor dude, but we paid up for it the , car was solid. Lots of
parts , all the stuff was bags and marked,,69 charger no other info, poor me
This new black paint job is the second color change and sofar the first one since the factory yellow
Done right. Most of the trim inside and out is pretty rough.
I have new vent window frames and belt molding on the way. Didn't want to spend that much but next to that
New paint the old stainless was just to scratched and dented, they killed it sanding and grinding

I agree with the service manual and look over known original cars.

I'd also consider one of mmc detroits books look around this site
