I'm not sure I'd want to put an NOS fuel pump with a diaphragm made of 40 or 50 year old rubber on my engine. Not if I planned to drive it anyway. Just something to consider.

Carter 4845...available from Rockauto for 12 $ I would be careful with rockauto, great if you get a new stock item, some of their stuff is old junk that has been sitting on a shelf somewhere. I have purchased and used that item from summit with good results.

Robert I’ll second that. One of my first mopar lessons. I bought 70 Cuda 383 with a fresh built motor. The fuel pump diaphragm ruptured after one week of driving. It ran just enough to keep fuel in the carb but the rest went in the crankcase. I called the shop that sold me the rebuilt car and the first thing he did was pull the dipstick. His eyes got real big went the “ oil “ was all the way up the stick. He thought I ran it out of oil. Lol. He changed the oil and pump and gave it back to me. The warranty lasted about a week. I was stuck with the rebuild. It cost $800 for the complete rebuild AND a used 4 speed swap from the factory 3 speed. Took me all Summer of mowing yards to pay for that. Man, those were the days. Hamburgers for a quarter, too. Lol.

Most likely the Rockauto stuff is from China...don't think Carter still makes fuel pumps in the USA. So, even if it is new, it is junk anyway... Carter claims to be made in USA, airtex made in Mexico. I guess you never know...the carter 340 pump here is made in Korea, the carter 4845 is also korea, the airtex does not say, that said no issues with any of them.
