Thanks Mike Its unlikely to be a button from any regular military uniform - but it could be for 'Parade' purposes... There is soo much data out there, but no easy way to find it because there is soo much. I tried to search on this, but returned literally millions of hits. both with an image search and with key words. In the old days, someone probably would have written a book on the topic of various police buttons and badges that you could look up in your local library. Today that book won't get written because no one would buy it because all the info is free on the internet. If you could find it. Same with the various mopar books I remember seeing when I grew up. Sure people still buy occasionally, but all the info they provided is free for the asking online.
